track surface ?
the track in VF is being replaced hopefully in the next few months, what is the plan for the old surface? maybe the gov can re-lay it somewhere in the north, what do you guys think?
What I have mostly seen, the old surface will get completely destroyed when they remove it, or in most cases they put the new surface right over the existing one. Im not sure if they can put mondo over the existing track. I think the chances are slim that they can salvage any of the existing surface.
remember the track in Atlanta was donated to a high school, so it can be done. i think we the athletes need to let the gov know that there is still some use for the old surface. a couple of long jump stripes can be laid island wide.
