I will find out what we need to do to make it official. If we can make it a real thing with several athletes in different sports, then as a whole we can have some power and the Olympic Committee Must take us seriously.
Let me know your Thoughts.

dom man good idear as always but we need the past sports people to look past the actions of the track and field associations and try the best they can to help the present generation.
Dane,
I agree with you 100% complaining about the passt won't do any good, I think we need to figure out how to support the clubs. The best way to make changes in the association is through results.
I'll be sending this via email as well, but Article 7.2 of the Constitution of the St Lucia Athletics Association reads as follows:
The most powerful voice of the SLAA is the affiliated organizations through their representatives at the General Assembly. The other organ of the SLAA [the Central Exectuive] can act on decisions by the affiliates OR shall take decisions pending ratifications of such actions by affiliates at the General Council.
In other worrds, people, arm yourselves with knowledge, and employ it! YOU are in charge of the Athletics Association. The Execuive exists to serve YOUR wishes. Read the Constitution and know your rights!
we need to ensure that all of us are on the same page and we are prepared to put our hearts into this; we can't speak about the problem and do nothing. Dane idea of getting everyone (those who are home and those living abroad)involved is a good one. we need to get the ball rolling asap, i don't want my son to suffer because his dad did nothing to improve the condition of sports in this beautiful country called ST LUCIA.
Guys,
I've learned that the Olympic Charter says that Every National Olympic Committee MUST HAVE AN ATHLETES COMMISSION! that being said, Im looking into finding out how to start one, Should we go directly to the Olympic Committee? Or do it on our own? I think Richard Peterkin will be receptive, the others may not.
